State launches new Veteran Business Support Center

The state has launched the new Veteran Business Support Center, a resource for employers interested in hiring veterans.

The center can assist employers with:

• Posting jobs, screening resumes and using the other tools at OhioMeansJobs.com
• Locating qualified veteran candidates
• Finding and preparing for career fairs, workshops and other hiring events
• Information about the Work Opportunity Tax Credit and other workforce development and hiring incentive programs for employers who hire veterans
• Demographic information about veterans in any given area

The center connects employers with trained veteran employment representatives via phone, email and/or face-to-face meetings at local OhioMeansJobs Centers, like The Work Station. Job and Family Services veteran employment representatives have an in-depth understanding of the job markets they serve and how veterans in their areas can help your organization.

For more information, contact The Work Station or visit OhioMeansJobs.com and look for the Veterans Business Support Center icon.
